biking with the wind blowing me...

yeah, hoping that my mind makes some sense in writing. my sense of black and white in matters relating to life and thoughts are becoming blurred - i hope not by the influence of new age but rather by the influence and my human understanding of the grace of God. i want these recordings to become a reminder of God's faithfulness in my golden days.
So, welcome my friend, let's learn together. I beckon you.

Life's Gotta Be More Than This

You know what??!! Life's not worth living if you have nothing to live for. And I don't mean money and physical possessions that we all work hard to attain. It's got to be more than earning bucks to support your family - feed them, clothe them and what not. It's gotta be more than attaining fame and fortune. It's got to be more than proving yourself to others. It's got to be more than the now. It's got to be more than this.

And I want my life to be more than that. I want to do life in view of the eternal. Hey, some of you don't even believe in the eternal but it doesn't mean that the eternal does not exist.

Jesus said,
19"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Matthew 6:19-20

How true His statement is. Think about it.

just one life,
gracey

It is so true that without something to look forward to, you don't find meaning to life. Yet, we all need to be earthly good, and not be just heavenly minded. A thousand and one aspects to life we need to consider and live to, yet with every step, the Lord says, worry enough for a day, what is tomorrow, let it be. What we have now, is for us to treasure. Since every good and perfect gift is from above, let's treasure the good God is giving, and enjoy life, every phase as God leads us on...Thanks Grace, nice sharing...

YOu need the eternal perspective to give you the right direction and the reality of the present goals to keep you in the right steps. We need the balnce of these two. So what is your Vision and mission of life? What are your goals for today, this week, this month and this year? Are all these goals pointing you to the eternal direction of your vision of life? Have you discover your God given Dream and release this dream in your life??

Kian Hooi: Just writing what's in my heart. Could not think of anything to blog about then. Thank you too. Cheers.

Anonymous: I've never been able to put my life mission and vision on paper coz I'm still figuring out my part on God's plan. Guess Life Skills the coming Sunday would be a great place for me to start. :)

Mavik: Ok, I'll tag someone else too then. :)

GraceL: Hey, thanks for dropping by. Yeah, what a terrible way to advertise. Anyway, I guess it's a reminder to all of us to be aligned again and again to the eternal perspective. :)

Isn't it strange, Gracey... people (including myself) make life so complicated when there's really only one thing to live for...

Thanks for the reminder.
