biking with the wind blowing me...

yeah, hoping that my mind makes some sense in writing. my sense of black and white in matters relating to life and thoughts are becoming blurred - i hope not by the influence of new age but rather by the influence and my human understanding of the grace of God. i want these recordings to become a reminder of God's faithfulness in my golden days.
So, welcome my friend, let's learn together. I beckon you.

My 22nd Chinese New Year

Life has been pretty eventful, what with Jeremiah School and the few family reunion functions during this season. I guess in many ways God has been really good to our family (not that He was never good) as we can see small improvements in family relations here and there especially the last few years.

I must say that my siblings' marriages and other marriages in the family have played a somewhat pivotal part in bridging our once soured family ties. So to that I say all glory belong to God Almighty. This year's Chinese New Year is a little more special, because for the first time in my life, the Yong family (as in at this point of time I'm blogging) is spending the first CNY night together.A combination of yummylicious food and great company just makes the night really a night to remember for a long time.

I guess being the only unmarried person in the family makes this year's celebration unique and also lonely. No, I don't feel lonely, it's just that the family without the extras will no longer be a reality, what with the other new addition to my sister's own family. This is part of growing up I guess, the family getting bigger and more 'yit lau'.

At the end of the day, what matters is really that a family stays strong together and grow together as each year passes. Life is incomplete without a family, and what I really mean here does not only include our blood family, but also the circle of people involved in other areas of our lives. With that I wish all of us a blessed Chinese New Year, and may each year be better than the last, as mine is. The Lord bless us all in all our lives and in the relations of our family ties.

one life to live,
