This year's birthday has been a rather quiet one. Not because there was not any celebration, but rather because I chose to have it quiet. It was also partly due to circumstance I guess. Quiet as it is, it has been a great one.
Initially I thought what's so special about my birthday? It is just another day anyway right?? As I started walking to go to college and thanked the Lord for walking with me these 22 years, a thought just zapped into my head. How can I say today is just another day? God willed that I was born on this date 22 years ago! This must be special to Him right? The timing cannot be anymore right. I just got a message from a friend - KY saying that "Heaven smiled when you were born. Your life is a gift of God to the world." Wow.
So I smiled and praised God for today. This birthday is really special not because of the gifts that I received, but rather the reminder of the Creator God who loves me very much. The friends who remembered, thank you so much. Your smses are an encouragement to me, and proof of the best gifts God can give to me (other than Jesus of course) - friends who remember me on this special day. Friends who appreciate you in their own ways, ways only they can give. I am truly a dearly loved one!
It was indeed a quiet but happy day! Much joy for me.
