biking with the wind blowing me...

yeah, hoping that my mind makes some sense in writing. my sense of black and white in matters relating to life and thoughts are becoming blurred - i hope not by the influence of new age but rather by the influence and my human understanding of the grace of God. i want these recordings to become a reminder of God's faithfulness in my golden days.
So, welcome my friend, let's learn together. I beckon you.

Blessed Easter

So why have I not written anything about the Easter that just passed while everyone else was at it? I was not around for one, and the other one is that I haven't been thinking much about it. Wait, this sounds totally wrong. It's not that I am not grateful of what Jesus did for me, it's just thatwhat He's done on the cross should not be only remembered on Good Fridays and Easters, but always. Drawing on a parallel, it's just like appreciating our loved ones. Valentine's should not be the only times we show that we care, and if you ask me, it should be an expression made whenever possible. But then again, Easter does serve as a reminder and IS a significant day for us, because it also gives us opportunities to begin talking about the Lord Jesus with our friends. And for those of us who forgets Jesus' sacrifice, it's a weekend to remember.

What I learnt last weekend was that Jesus did not only die on the cross, He took a long journey walking towards the cross of Calvary. In that journey, He had to carry the cross He was nailed on to. What struck me deeply was that long trudge He took. He was bruised all over. He could have given up. It really was a victory over everything, and particularly, all sins. His victory was a victory over all things that make us human beings. That would include our body, soul, mind, emotions and anything else which I have not mentioned. So we can draw on His victory, because from His obedience, we inherited the greatest gifts, His love and freedom for our lives.

And on every Good Friday, it has been raining. =)

same yet different,
gracey
