Today I laughed like I had not in a long time. And I really mean long. I can't even remember the last time I laughed so hard. The joke was on me, about me, whatever, but they were very funny. It seemed like I was drugged, or was drunk. Reason for being so crazy? No idea. I think it was also because I saw an old friend, or maybe it was really a combination of things - the company, the good food and God's goodness.
It's good to be in a company of great friends, of great friendships. I'm one stacked against a group of guys, but that's a normal thing for me. Somehow, it's always more fun to clown around with them, although I'm very much a girl. It's really not an issue about girls, it's just that I do feel more comfortable with guys. There are only a handful of girlfriends I can hang out with without feeling pressured to act like a girl, hence my preference to hang out with guys.
No offense girls, it's just me. Of course I do yearn for a few close girlfriends, because they are the better bets when it comes to not leaving you in the ditch after a close friendship. There have been many occasions where my guy friends conveniently forgot me after they got themselves girlfriends, and of course I felt betrayed almost everytime. So it's not exactly a wise thing to get close to another guy friend because the likelihood of that happening would be high, unless of course he turns out the be the One. Fat chance though.
Maybe that is why I prefer to go solo, without any particular group to call my own. But then again, it's good to be in a gang too, and I am enjoying every moment of it. Love you Ipoh! =)
