biking with the wind blowing me...

yeah, hoping that my mind makes some sense in writing. my sense of black and white in matters relating to life and thoughts are becoming blurred - i hope not by the influence of new age but rather by the influence and my human understanding of the grace of God. i want these recordings to become a reminder of God's faithfulness in my golden days.
So, welcome my friend, let's learn together. I beckon you.

I Love Malaysia

I was just watching some videos about Malaysia on Youtube. It's the never-ending story of the election. It is a political speech by one of Malaysia's most prominent leaders. Just hearing the national language and jokes made me smile. I miss home.

True, life has been so great outside the homeland, but nothing beats being at home. Nothing beats familiarity, and I'm very sure that's what everyone feels, almost everyone. I love our culture, it's not perfect, but I love it. I want my children to grow up in it. I love the fact that I have neighbours from different racial backgrounds, and we look out for each other. I love the fact that I grew up speaking so many different languages and dialects, and how speaking those languages help me understand and love people.

I love the fact that when it comes to food, I eat almost anything. Malaysians are very well trained when it comes to our taste buds. If we're not, we're the minority. We eat food from the east to the west, not picky at all. We can find good food almost everywhere, and at very affordable prices.

Malaysia is a nation of 50 years, we're really not that old. Compared to other nations' histories, we really are not doing that bad. Without what Malaysia has given her people, most of us will have no opportunities of even getting out of the country, let alone dream about it. You know what I mean? Our parents will not be able to make fortunes and live there and send us out to be educated overseas, that will not happen if the nation is still what it was 30 years ago now.

I love Egypt, Indonesia and Australia, all for different reasons, but nothing beats Malaysia.
