Thoughts. Precious thoughts and insights. Shared, trampled, stomped on, made into a ball and thrown back at you. How fun is that.
Having real friends mean taking risks. I am risk adverse. I think for now I'll rest at not having made new and real friends for some time. Tis' too painful and too risky when you see a fish/meat ball thrown back at your face but end up hurting your heart.
Letting someone into your life, no matter how little a snippet it is, when not handled with care, makes you give up and not want to try again. God, I'm back at square one. Looks like it's just us and will forever be that way. The room is already crowded with You in it, so I think I'm gonna keep it that way.
You are the treasure, You are mine. And it feels good to say.... I am Yours too. Nothing can separate us, unless I choose otherwise.

p/s: Perhaps I can write about meatball metaphors one day. Let's get a lappie first whilst waiting.

I know how you feel.. I guess we just got to keep caring and loving as God leads without having defences... God will bring new people into our lives to bless us and for us to serve... If we stuck to some "permanent" friends, we kind of limit God's working--well, that's how I see it anyway... And sometimes, those people whom we think are true friends may turn their backs on us one day. But--so what? Still, we can dare ourselves to love despite everything... What do you think?
I agree with some and disagree with some. I think it's ok to have permanent friends but the key is to always look to God and Him our inspiration. I'm sure we all have some 'permanent' friends, coz that gives us some sense of stability, but having 'permanent' friends does not mean that one doesn't venture out to make new ones, and that really depends on one's personality and drive.
I don't dare to say I love my new friends, but if I feel that the other person is not willing to risk, then I will not either. It's only always a few from a crowd that we choose to risk vulnerability, but still not many reciprocate the same from that few.
True true. It's good to maintain a balance on both sides so expectations are on par, I suppose. =)
