biking with the wind blowing me...

yeah, hoping that my mind makes some sense in writing. my sense of black and white in matters relating to life and thoughts are becoming blurred - i hope not by the influence of new age but rather by the influence and my human understanding of the grace of God. i want these recordings to become a reminder of God's faithfulness in my golden days.
So, welcome my friend, let's learn together. I beckon you.

A Troo-Bloo Aussie Experience

Oh yes. Who would have thought? 3 years on and I am living at 228 as a staff member. The ice-box is just as it sounds, B-R-R-R cold. I am beginning to like the idea of living there for the next 3 months, although I do admit that it was a difficult position to be in initially. The different mix of students is great, and I hope there aren't any more changes to the living arrangements.

So about 2 weeks ago I was bitten by a spider. I felt the tingling pain on my middle finger that grew to my armpit. It was a little unnerving not knowing what I was up against. After calling the helpline, we decided that I should let the doctor have a look at my precious middle finger. We drew tracking lines to track (duh!) the spread of the poison on my finger. Thankfully, the spread did not extend too far and began subsiding from the armpit.

I was exhilarated. And then I got a little excited. The thing is, with poison in your body, you gotta keep calm so that the heart does not pump faster to cause the spread to be faster. Hahaha...thankfully, the pain went down to just my finger area after a few hours. Yay! Then I saw the doctor. It was either a redback or a white-tail that gave me that gnarly poison. Urgh. Hello antibiotics. Hello expensive doctor bill.

I was so convinced that the pain would go away within the day. Haha. Smart little one. Not gonna ever happen. It finally completely subsided after at least 5 days? Small little spider kept me in pain for 5 days! I had to come home after the visit to the doctor's because the pain was just nasty.

So, say no to SPIDERS!

AND, you have never been to Australia if you have never been bitten by a venomous spider. There you go.

boo spiders!
