biking with the wind blowing me...

yeah, hoping that my mind makes some sense in writing. my sense of black and white in matters relating to life and thoughts are becoming blurred - i hope not by the influence of new age but rather by the influence and my human understanding of the grace of God. i want these recordings to become a reminder of God's faithfulness in my golden days.
So, welcome my friend, let's learn together. I beckon you.

Nasi Lemak, Tapioca Cake, Friends and Lotsa Kitchen Time!

I've had a really fun weekend, although I feel so out of it now. My body is catching up with time - I am ageing. LOL.

Let's see. The week has been so hectic, I haven't had time to press the pause button at all. I am certainly hoping that this coming week will look less hectic, and I can catch my breath a little bit. It has passed by in a whim, and I do not recollect the days. Every night I was out, and internet for once in a long time was not my best friend. I caught up with some reading, and got a little nervous looking at the amount of homework I have for C4CM. Now, let's get going with that homework.

I did have some funny moments, some challenging moments and thank God breakthrough moments too. Thank You Lord for a really meaningful life.

On to the weekend. Rugby. Friday ended with Rugby. No, not the playing, but the watching. Was at Ana's house watching the opening ceremony with them and then the opening game between Tonga and NZ with half my brain still awake. Had already planned to stay overnight with them that night a couple of weeks ago because it was her birthday on Friday and I promised to cook her a breakfast for her birthday. :) That night was long. I had the sofa as my bed, and it wasn't comfortable. Thanks to the length of a body that does not match the length of the sofa. And then many different kinds of sounds were surrounding my sleeping environment. The neighbours were loud, the friends too, and not forgetting the birds. I ended up with zero sleep. And then my coffee was kidnapped. LOL.

Went to the base to get lunch ready for the...base! later in the morning. It felt so long because my brain was not catching up. I really cannot do this all the time because I surely cannot cope without sleep. :S And then I got home, and decided to have a 2 hour nap. I had to drag myself out of my bed because I was going to have friends over for dinner, and I had to get food ready. It was nasi lemak for dinner! I was so excited. My first nasi lemak in 10 months! :) And I made the sambal from scratch. It was a really good meal. And we had teh tarik as well as kuih bingka ubi (tapioca cake) as dessert. I am so happy with the meal - all Malaysian affair.

And the random group of friends that came, was random but thank God it wasn't all that awkward. :) It was nice having them over and hearing their stories. Chen was the only guy that turned up in the end, and there was also Roch, Liz and Judy. I was talking to mom today, and she asked if we were all Chinese! And as I was describing to her, I realised that besides Judy and myself, the rest were of different ethnic backgrounds. :) I love feeding 'em! :) A caucasian, an indian and an islander. Nice combo.

And today, I decided to stay home. Just to recuperate. Hahaha...Yes, I needed to. :) And it has been fantastic! :)
