So I went to see the doctor today. Was suppose to ask him all the questions I needed answers to regarding the Endoscopic Sinus Surgery, right? Well, the appointment took a different course, because that Prof Dato' cut me up on the spot. =)
Gave me an apron, and I only had 2 seconds to tell myself that he was cutting me up!! So zap zap zap it went, and I froze throughout out of pain. He did give me a dose of cocaine one hour prior to that, but the pain was too immense that I cried. Sakit-la. I think I was a little too traumatised following that. He gave me an MC to rest, thank God the bleeding stopped. (At present, the nose would still bleed if I drink anything hot. So I have to counter that with eating the ice or drink some icey cold water)
Okay, I think I made him sound like a butcher, but if you can imagine, the way he cut my polyps is how we clean away fats from a chicken, especially those parts where it's hard to get those fats out. I can still hear the snipping sound of the tiny scissors. Yucks.
Otherwise, I am fine, drank some blood and became a cult follower. Heh. Joking. He took the polyps for biopsy, and sucked out my phlegm for tests. Apparently mine is an isolated case - but I don't know how isolated it is. Too shaken to ask him any questions. Will be seeing him in 3 weeks' time, and I have to go for a CT scan before I see him. More hospital visits. Only then will I know what's next.
Well, the good thing is, he is my regular doc's 'sifu', so I guess it's safe with him. =) It still hurts a little, but I can live with this pain. The next 3 months would be many hospital visits. If you happen to be free and want to accompany me on those visits, you're most welcome. Right now I must concentrate on getting well - minus the polyps.
For the uninitiated, nasal polyps are small, sac-like growths consisting of inflamed nasal mucosa. Go here for more information.
My theory is that God is answering my prayers to get healed. All because I know the Prof knows what he is doing, and he took my little 'possessions' for tests to find out the root cause, which my regular doctor never initiated. So cheers to blood and bleeding.

aiyah.. i wrote a comment just now but then my internet went wonky when i wanted to send it. ish! Anywayy.. just by your describing it brings back the vivid images of the little camera going into your nose showing the polyps! must've hurt really bad when they snipped it out! eeks! and u were conscious the whole time! you poor thing! but at least you're now in the road to recovery! woohoo! YWAM ! here comes Gracey! :)
