I wonder why people give up the Christian faith. What is so bad that you can't give it another chance although on numerous occasions you have been given second chances?
Is there anything out there that tastes better than forgiveness, honest praises, edifying corrections, relationship restoration and undeserved three hundred twenty nine thousand five hundred eighteen chances?
Despite all the sensual & self-gratifying pleasures which are tempting, I cannot find any reason to discard and not live for the One who offers grace and mercy. Money could buy me many material things, but it cannot buy me integrity, good conscience, trust, honour, respect and love. It'd be one in a zillion if it could buy me character & edifying friendships. Share with me if you do, cause I'd really love to have it - for FOC.
Who would love you for the ugliness that is inside you, that only you and your Creator know through and through- without strings attached, without concrete reasons other than the fact that you are precious to Him? In this world we live today, that's a crazy idea - much less a real thing.
In our self-absorbed world, isn't it crazy an idea that you would die for someone, even a loved one? Okay, some of us on this planet would still do that. But why would that One person die for the guilt and sins of others? There is absolutely no reason to sacrifice Oneself for the sake of others, other than the fact that His only reason is to save YOU from the fallen world and give you real life.
Why would you resist such an offer? Is it too good to be true? The marketing and sales world has made FOC, free of charge, with terms and conditions applied. In His economy, FOC means FOC. So my darling friend, why would you not consider Him again, even though He has considered you 2000 years ago and continues to consider You even now? Why wouldn't you give Him a second chance? Why would you allow someone else to spoil the most precious relationship you can ever have with anyone, just because someone else, another mortal, caused you pain and disappointment? Why wouldn't you put your trust, hope and faith in Someone who has been consistent from the beginning of time?
Second chances? They don't come cheap. Neither do they ever come free in this world anymore.

How else can people 'see' God? It's by seeing 'mortals' who claims to be a follower of Christ and have fellowship with God.
Most people don't have problem with Jesus, but they have problems with 'the mortals' who made the claims.
Yup, that's right. We just can't stop people from 'watching' us, eh?
I think a reason some people leave the faith is because the faith that they have is one based on others in the church telling them what to do or not to do. Something which is probably seen as subtle brainwashing and does little or no harm when young and impressionable but is a nuisance to them when they realise they have a choice.
A obvious decision to make IF indeed that is what the Christian faith is based upon.
What I'm trying to say, I guess, is that few Christians know what their faith really means. Fewer still experience it; a living breathing relationship with their Creator.
One thing I used to ask myself a few years ago: from being so rooted in a church, how would I respond if in one night, all my pastors, youth leaders, fellow musicians, disciplers and those whom I disciple, all decided God was a farce? Would I still be able to carry on believing?
So what would your answer be today? Was it enough what they taught us back in Sitiawan?
I came out and began to know and experience God. Not much, but good to start on little rather than none.
