It was drama night last night. I just got home at six something in the evening yesterday. Had dinner with my parents, then unpacked the car, chatted with them, then went to my maid's house to have a second round of dinner.
After that I came home, watched CSI on AXN, all 3 in a row. At 11 something, we got a call from my uncle saying that the fire brigade was in front of his house. We rushed over, and found out that one of the rooms had been burnt. Sharks.
About an hour or so into the drama, another one unfolded!! We suddenly realised that the television set was missing, and then noticed that the VCD player, the Astro decoder, the massage chair and the microwave oven missing too!! We really don't know what else is missing, since my uncle wasn't around. The electricity had been hit out to prevent further damage - fire damage. We also found 2 helmets in a plastic bag left behind.
So from a seemingly short circuit, it became a theft and arson case - criminal in nature. So who were there? The fire fighters, normal police, then the forensic police, then the crime police. Before that? Thieves who are getting bolder by the day. It's not the first time a house has been set on fire after a robbery happened - according to the authorities.
This morning, my maid's daughter had to be admitted to the hospital for an emergency surgery. Another drama unfolding. Yikes.
Lord, have mercy on me.
