So this is my first time being away from home and being away from the country celebrating CNY. It was hard actually. By God's grace the first day of CNY was my off day, so I got my family to call me to talk a little bit.
I just thought about the fact that I was being away from my parents and my siblings. Even being away from my relatives was hard. I never thought that not being able to catch up with classmates would catch me tearing, but it did. I missed home and pork. Hahaha...And mom's delicious array of food and cookies.
It's a totally different CNY for my family as well. It's the first time not all our family is back, including my relatives. My sister and her family are in Melbourne, I was in Luxor and my aunt couldn't go home because my uncle is undergoing treatment for his throat cancer. I think one of my uncles and his family didn't head home this year as well. So there were a lot of absence.
I'm just thinking that it would definitely have been hard for my parents especially, and it was obviously a quiet CNY. One less CNY with them sucks. I want to be home for CNY every year from now on, God willing.
And I need to eat pork to make CNY complete. I just had my mandarin orange an hour earlier during dinner. It's 6 hours behind Malaysia, the time here I mean. Hahaha...Randomness.
Hello Olivier!!!
Bonsoir.
