My second latest post (before this one) was about not being able to hold intellectual conversations. Today I read a devotion which encouraged me and I thought I should post it up. :)
If you are someone to whom the world of apologetics seems overwhelming and confusing, be encouraged that our witness to the world involves gifts other than those that come in handy in an intellectual debate. On the other hand, if you are someone who is energized by intellectual arguments and who craves knowledge, don't forget that the winsomeness of unity should be a primary component of our witness. "If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing" (1 Corinthians 13:1-2).
