It was a busy busy week, but I managed to sneak in a some fun in between.
I used to learn how to swim when I was a kid, but did not manage to complete the lessons which means I still don't know how to swim. Because of that, I have a fear of being in the water. I mean, I can't swim, and I'm in the water!
So I decided that before leaving for Perth, I need to overcome my fear of water - I need to learn how to swim! You may not believe it, but I was so scared even of floating! So on Thursday, after a long day of video shooting, I went for my 2nd swimming lesson, courtesy of Michelle and Crystal. I learnt how to float! Yay! They are really great, because they just enjoyed teaching and encouraging me. I feel safe in their hands.
I had another fear - wearing swim suit. I'm this conservative girl who feels 'naked' wearing a pair of swimming costume! It feels like I am overexposing myself - and my fats! Swimming with Michelle, Crystal and Ivy pushed me to get out of that fear - although I'm quite convinced that I wasn't thinking much when I said, "Let's go!!". Last night, I bought my first ever pair of swim suit. I'm happy. =) Yay!!
This morning I met up with an old friend to work through something which I wanted to settle. Brought along a friend, and am glad with the outcome. So 3 cheers for me here. God is good. =)
Finally heard from YWAM. I'm glad. Got to settle that quick now. =)
It's been a great week despite the hectic schedule.
