Yeah, and the kitchen went loose. There were about 30 additional people that joined us on base last week for the Island Breeze Leader's Conference. It was crazy in the kitchen because Islanders are known to be very hungry people. :) My friends enjoy food, especially meat. So we had meat everyday last week. Which made my week of course, since I got to eat some roasted pork too!
Ironically, even though the week was tough, I still somehow ended up hanging out with people every evening after a long crazy day! I would end up at home late, and wonder why I had done that to myself and repeated the very same thing the next day! Suffice to say, by Friday, I was dead tired.
My islander friends taught me a card game called, "Ten" which I think is similar to "Bridge" that I learnt at Jeremiah School. It was so good, I went to hang out with them just to play that game. Hahaha....It is a thinking and strategy game, which I enjoy very much although I may not be that great at it. :)
Honestly, I have not much of a recollection of last week, except that humility is key. :) So much to learn. Always character moulding!
saving for this week,
gracey
