I've only been home for 2 days but I have felt so overcome with emotions, and God's faithfulness. I have had a good day with my little nephew, Jason and enjoyed his wit and cheekiness. Just for the record, he called me, "Gu Gu" like 2000 times yesterday. Almost every sentence is filled an average 4 times of calling my name. And then he said he wanted me to bathe and change him, when given the option. We also made Australian Jell-O together! And then he wanted me to read to him before bed and in the car. So cute! He also asked if I would sleep beside him. He is so adorable. :) He made me a happy aunt for sure.
It was just family time yesterday, which was so good. Had lots of good food too, as per my plan. :)
And today, it started quite rough. I lost my 4 months worth of QT log. Jason had probably accidentally deleted my note from my iPod. And then we were late for church, but all those went away when I started meeting friends. I felt the love. And actually got some real hugs this time. Love love loving it here.
I guess it is different when I am back only for a short time. The atmosphere and 'feel' are different. Apparently they need a pretty gangster around who can kick some butts. Hahaha...Jesse, you are so funny. Trying to butter me home. :) And Mike Seow, thanks for the ice-blended Starbucks and short little catch-up we had! LOL. Thanks for trying to tell me my calling is Malaysia. Hahaha...
And Adeline, Shelley and Chee Seng! You are wonderful friends. It has been a full on day, very emotionally charging and encouraging, and thank you for the wonderful chats we had today. The chats left me wanting more. I have enjoyed our chats over the years and still do. :)
Thank You Lord for such amazing people in my life.
The meeting with my pastors, and being formally introduced to the new missions pastor was really good. I could share what I had learnt over the year personally and doing ministry. They encouraged me and gave me pointers. That was very good. I need such leadership. Thank you Lord for Malaysia! I am blessed!
It has been a full day, and more to come.
